Leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade said that the province currently has 11 supermarkets, 285 convenience stores and 39 traditional markets in operation. Food and foodstuff supplies for the local people are abundant. Many supermarkets and convenience stores have increased the volume of goods to 150-200%, even 300% to meet the needs of the people. The source of essential goods has been stabilized during the pandemic situation with about 685 billion VND, of which, the supply of buffalo and cow meat is 2,250 tons/month, pork 7,500 tons/month, poultry meat 3,750 tons/month, poultry eggs 40,000,000 fruits/month.
The Department of Industry and Trade is coordinating with enterprises to stabilize the market and the Provincial Post Office to organize stabilizing sales at post offices in districts, towns and cities. Up to now, sales have been deployed at 20 points. The daily supply is about 6 tons of vegetables, tubers and fruits; 300-350 kgs of meat; 27,000 eggs per point. At the same time, organizing mobile sales trips in districts, towns and cities. Mobilizing local farm owners who grow crops and raise livestock to maintain production and connect the supply of goods (agricultural products) to people in the province.
To ensure market stability, the Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate with the Market Surveillance Department to strictly punish establishments that increase prices during the pandemic season.
In addition, people in the lockdown areas are also supported to buy goods in 3 forms: Online; at stores, grocery stores in the lockdown area; receiving and distributing support goods from philanthropists and relatives into quarantine and lockdown areas.
