Binh Duong reports 02 deaths from Covid-19

​PORTAL - On July 15, 2021, the Binh Duong Health sector informed about 02 cases of Covid-19 who died on July 14, 2021.

Accordingly, the male patient (23084th Patient), born in 1988, has an address in Tan Binh commune, Bac Tan Uyen district, patient working at a wood company, was confirmed to have Covid-19 on July 5, 2021, isolated and treated at the Medical Center of Bau Bang district. On July 9, 2021, the patient complained of fatigue and difficulty breathing and was transferred to Binh Duong Provincial General Hospital for further treatment. Diagnosis at hospital transfer: Acute respiratory failure, severe pneumonia caused by Covid-19. The patient was on respiratory support (NCPAP followed by invasive mechanical ventilation). During the treatment process from the time of admission, the doctor continuously discussed and consulted online with experts of Cho Ray Hospital and received detailed instructions on treatment methods.

At 18:00 on July 14, 2021, the patient got serious, after 30 minutes of emergency; the patient cannot survive and died at 18:30 on the same day.

Diagnosis of death: infection, multi-organ failure, severe pneumonia complicated by severe ARDS due to SARS-CoV-2 (diagnosed by RT-PCR).

Case 2 is a female patient (27958th Patient), born in 1965, address: My Phuoc 2 ward, Ben Cat town; died on July 14, 2021 at My Phuoc Social Housing Dormitory with diagnosis: Acute myocardial infarction, grade I obesity, SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Since the 4th outbreak up to now, Binh Duong has had 2,009 cases of Covid-19, 97 patients were cured and discharged, 04 patients died.  In which, 24 cases of severe development, required mechanical ventilation.

Binh Duong Health Sector said, the source of infection from the community and the source of infection related to Ho Chi Minh City continued to increase. In order to prevent and control the epidemic from spreading in the community, it is recommended that people from Ho Chi Minh City returning to Binh, they must make a medical declaration and perform a 14-day home quarantine and test 3 times according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health.

Binh Duong people continue to be proactive and raise the spirit of epidemic prevention and control, strictly implementing Directive 16 of the Prime Minister: stay at home, only go out when absolutely necessary; voluntarily comply with the requirements and measures for epidemic prevention and control and make medical declarations; comply with the 5K message of the Ministry of Health; when you have symptoms of respiratory disease such as fever, cough, sore throat, chest tightness, difficulty breathing etc. or suspected contact with a person suspected of having Covid-19, immediately contact the nearest health station or medical facility to receive treatment and instructions on disease prevention and control in accordance with regulations.
