Accordingly, in order to handle 155 petitions sent before and after the 17th Session, Binh Duong People's Committee has assigned relevant departments, localities to consider and handle 100%. Of which, 116/155 petitions were solved, occupying 74.83%, this rate of 17th Session is lower than of 15th Session (81.14%) but it is still positive and remarkable in the time of both implementing Covid-19 prevention and control measures and continuing socio-economic development; 39/155 petitions (accounting for 25.17%) are being studied, handled by departments and localities according to a particular plan, process.
For the 84 outstanding petitions that have not been resolved since the beginning of the term, up to now, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned relevant departments and localities to consider and settle 14/84 petitions, reaching 16.67%; the remaining 70/84 petitions (accounting for 83.3%) will continue to be resolved in the coming time.
Thus, in 2016-2021 term, Binh Duong Standing Provincial People's Council has transferred nearly 1,700 petitions to Binh Duong People's Committee. The results show that Binh Duong People's Committee has assigned relevant departments and localities to consider and settle 1,591 petitions, reaching 93%.
The outstanding content recorded through this monitoring is that voters and grassroots agree and are excited when a number of urgent and petitioned contents after being submitted many times have been resolved by departments and sectors, such as: The overcoming of local flooding when it rains on National Highway 13, the section through Tan Dinh ward; The Provincial People's Committee has issued Official Document No. 2076/UBND-KT dated May 17, 2021 on the settlement of the case of building infrastructures on agricultural land of households and individuals (this is a step concretizing the contents under the authority of the Provincial People's Committee as prescribed in Decree No. 91/2019/ND-CP dated November 19, 2019 of the Government on sanctioning of administrative violations in the field of land) etc.
The results achieved in the settlement of voter petitions have shown the responsibility of the local authorities for the legitimate aspirations of the voters, as well as the respect and care for the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, contributed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the State Apparatus's management, strengthened citizen's trust and confidence in the Party and authorities at all levels in the locality.
Binh Duong Provincial Standing People's Council proposes Binh Duong People's Committee to steer relevant sectors, localities to continue coming up with plans, solutions, routes, and timeline to properly solve 109 outstanding petitions in this term.
