PORTAL - According to the report of the Department of Health, until 17:00 on June 29, 2021, Binh Duong recorded 24 new positive cases of Covid-19 in the community, bringing the total number of cases from the 4th epidemic to 326.

Among 24 cases, 12 cases are in quarantine zones, 09 cases were through screening tests, 03 were detected through medical declarations. Specifically, there are 09 cases linked to Wanek Company; 01 case in Duc Tan Hostel, Di An City area; 02 cases working at Sankyo Company who conducted medical declarations at Hoan Hao General Hospital, Di An City; 01 long-distance driver; 01 case linked to Hien Hoa Anh Ceramic Company; the remaining 10 cases are linked to Houseware Company.

The accommodation of patients includes Thuan An City (06 cases in Binh Chuan Ward); 09 cases in Tan Uyen Town (05 cases in Tan Hiep Ward, 02 cases in Tan Vinh Hiep Ward, 01 case in Hoi Nghia Ward, and 01 case in Tan Hoi Ward); 03 cases in Thu Dau Mot City (01 case in Hoa Phu Ward, 01 case in Hoa Loi Ward, and 01 case in Phu Tan Ward); 03 cases in Di An City (01 case in Tan Dong Hiep Ward, 02 cases in Dong Hoa Ward); 03 cases in Ho Chi Minh City (02 cases in Tan Phu Ward, 01 case in Hiep Binh Chanh Ward, Thu Duc City).

From the 4th epidemic, Binh Duong has recorded 326 infected cases in the community (24 cases were detected when they came to test at health facilities, 195 cases were detected in quarantine zones and 107 cases were detected in lockdowns in Di An City, Thuan An City, Thu Dau Mot City and Tan Uyen Town).

Among 328 cases in this 4th epidemic (326 patients of the community infection, 01 re-positive case from Khanh Hoa, 01 foreign expert), 04 patients have recovered, 324 patients are being treated, of which 03 patients with severe prognosis requiring mechanical ventilation, 03 patients receiving oxygen.

According to the assessment of the Health sector, the current number of Covid-19 cases in the province increases rapidly and turns to level 5 (>300 cases). Faced with the risk of a large epidemic outbreak in the province, the Provincial People's Committee has issued an official letter requesting the Ministry of Health and the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City to consider and urgently provide aid to Binh Duong as soon as possible. Accordingly, Binh Duong People's Committee proposed the Ministry of Health to consider appointing experts on epidemiological investigation to help tracing and controlling the epidemic; supporting the force of medical staff taking samples for testing, doctors and nurses treating Covid-19 patients; supporting quick tests, RT-PCR tests for Covid-19 testing, other protective equipment such as masks, protective gear, gloves, antiseptic water etc. At the same time, proposing Ho Chi Minh City Pasteur Institute to consider appointing experts in epidemiological investigation to help tracing and controlling the epidemic; supporting sampling and RT-PCR testing.
