From May 27 to June 25, 2021, the Provincial Relief Committee received donations and registered support from 242 collectives, individuals and businesses with a total amount of nearly VND 130.4 billion, including cash and goods, equipment and medical supplies.
To promptly organize the distribution of money and goods voluntarily mobilized to contribute to the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province has advised and commented on the Regulation on receipt, management, distribution and use of sources of money and goods voluntarily mobilized to contribute to the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control and issued by the Provincial People's Committee under Decision No. 1606/QD-UBND dated June 21, 2021.
According to the Regulations, money and goods donated by organizations and individuals to the Relief Fund are used to buy vaccines; purchase ventilators and equipment, medical supplies and drugs for the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control; support for isolation areas, those directly involved in the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control having difficult circumstances etc.
The management, distribution and use of donated money and goods must be carried out in a centralized, timely manner, for the right purposes, for the right subjects, openly and transparently; there must be a close and synchronous coordination among relevant departments, agencies, sectors, localities, organizations and individuals in order to effectively serve the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control in the province.
Continue to respond to the call for the entire population to participate in supporting the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control, at the conference, businesses, individuals and organizations in the province donated and supported an additional VND 116.6 billion; in which VND 42.8 billion in cash and VND 73.8 billion in goods, equipment and medical supplies.
Provincial leaders receive support for Covid-19 prevention and control from businesses and organizations
Up to now, Binh Duong has received a total of VND 247 billion (including cash and goods, equipment and medical supplies) from businesses and organizations in the province.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen Van Loc acknowledged, thanked and praised the contributions, material and spiritual support of individuals, organizations, businesses, contributing to the good implementation of Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control in the past time. The province commits that all donations will timely and fully use for the right purposes and the right subjects, contributing to the highest efficiency in epidemic prevention and control in the province.
Delegates sign the Memorandum of Understanding
On this occasion, Becamex IDC, the Department of Health and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee signed a Memorandum of Understanding on financial support to hire units capable of conducting mass Covid-19 testing for employees and workers at factories and enterprises in industrial parks and neighboring communities in Binh Duong province.
