Accordingly, maximally mobilizing all resources including support from organizations, individuals and businesses with the goal of reaching ≥ 95% of the population aged 18 years and over vaccinated with 2 full doses of Covid-19 vaccine on a provincial scale.
It is expected that in the province, 1,455,162 people over 18 years old will be vaccinated, of which 255,162 people belong to priority groups according to Resolution 21/NQ-CP.
It is estimated that the number of doses of vaccine needed in the period of 2021-2022 in the province is 3,201,356; the number of people who are prioritized according to Resolution 21/NQ-CP of the Government is 255,162 people equivalent to 561,357 doses. Thus, in the period of 2021-2022, Binh Duong has the demand of 2,640,000 doses. The estimated cost for purchasing vaccine is 316,8 billion VND; for vaccination activities is 18.5 billion VND.
Currently, the province has 105 public vaccination facilities and 46 private medical facilities that are eligible for vaccination. Human resources involved in expanded vaccination and service vaccination in the province are trained and experienced in organizing vaccination. The maximum vaccination capacity is 18,000 doses/day.
According to the process from March to April 2021, Binh Duong used 1,700 doses of AstraZeneca distributed by the Ministry of Health for priority people; from the third quarter of 2021 to 2022 the province will conduct the vaccination for the residents according to the progress of vaccine supply and instructions of the Ministry of Health.
It is known that in Phase 1, Binh Duong vaccinated for 2,223 people in the priority group, of which 991 people had normal reactions, there were no cases of severe reactions after injection. In Phase 2, vaccinated to 18,584 people (16,853 people injecting the first dose and 1,731 people injecting the second dose), 5,981 people (accounting for 32.2%) had normal reactions, no severe reactions after injection.
From June 17, 2021, Binh Duong has deployed Phase 3 of Covid-19 vaccination, vaccinated 20,522 people (19,903 people injecting first dose and 349 people injecting second dose), 4,368 people had normal reactions (21.6%). Accumulated up to now, Binh Duong Province has implemented vaccination for 41,059 people. The Health sector is expected to provide 20,000 doses of the vaccine in Phase 4 in the near future.
