For 155 petitions submitted by voters to the 17th Session, the Provincial People's Committee directed to settle 116 petitions, reaching 74.83%, the remaining 39 petitions (25.17%) are being studied and handled as planned. For 84 outstanding voters' petitions in the 2016-2021 tenure, the Provincial People's Committee directed the settlement of 13 petitions, reaching 15.47%; The remaining 71 petitions will continue to be resolved in the near future.

Through monitoring, the committees of the Provincial People's Council assessed that the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and localities have promptly implemented solutions, constantly improved the sense of responsibility in considering and settling voters' petitions. Most of the responses from the units went into focus, analyzed and evaluated, stated the achieved results; at the same time, thereby recommended difficulties and problems and determined specific solution. However, still some content of voters' petitions has been resolved slowly; has not regularly monitored, checked and reported on the results of settlement of voters' petitions. Some petitions have not been resolved satisfactorily due to mechanisms, policies, order and procedures as prescribed.

Concluding the monitoring session, Mr. Ho Quang Diep highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the People's Committee, departments, branches and localities in handling voters' petitions. He suggested the Provincial People's Committee continue to focus on directing, regularly monitoring and checking the settlement of voters' petitions. Directing departments and branches to send officials to participate in contact with voters in the locality to understand the problem, thereby answering and properly solving the petition. At the same time, there should be coordination mechanism to handle the petitions; promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, improve the sense of responsibility of the heads of units and localities, avoid the situation of avoiding and pushing responsibilities between branches and localities in order to speed up the settlement of voters' petitions, especially petitions that have been repeated many times, and those that are still pending, causing frustration among the people.
