Ms. Nguyen Thu Cuc: Following the direction of Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Pandemic Prevention and Control at the meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Pandemic Prevention and Control taking place on the morning of May 31, 2021, Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee has issued Document no. 1259/UBND-VX on the serious implementation of Directive No. 15/CT-TTg dated March 27, 2020 and Directive no. 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister on implementing urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Cuc: Before that, at 00:00 am on May 31, 2021, after the results were announced about the case of the 7059th patient working at CJ Vina Agri Co., Ltd. - Binh Duong Branch in Hiep Thanh 3 Residential Area, Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee issued Decision no. 1259 on implementing Directive no. 15 and Directive no. 16 of the Prime Minister on implementing the urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the development of the pandemic, the city has requested Hiep Thanh ward to apply the implementation of Directive no. 16 for the area of lockdown and medical quarantine to ensure the pandemic prevention and control. For the remaining areas in the city, including Hiep Thanh ward, but outside the quarantine area, the Directive No. 15 shall apply.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Cuc: According to the report of CDC Binh Duong, as of the morning of June 1, 2021, all F1 cases of the 7059th patient in the province have tested negative for the 1st time. F2 cases are waiting for results. If the F2 test results are negative, the city will maintain the quarantine of the area for the prescribed time. At the same time, restrictions on other places outside the quarantine area will be eased. The city expects this application to minimize the disturbance in the daily life of the people, as well as the production and business activities of enterprises.
If F1, F2, etc. cases have test positive for SARS-CoV and become F0, the city will consider expanding the scope of the lockdown applied under Directive 16.
