Overview of the conference
Thanks to an open and attractive investment environment, Binh Duong province has been a reliable destination for foreign investors over the past years. As of May 15th, 2021, the province has attracted nearly 4,000 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects (FDI), with a total registered capital of 36.5 billion USD, ranking third in the country in terms of FDI attraction, only after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. As for Italian investment, there are currently 08 investment projects of Italian businesses in the province, with a total capital of nearly 64 million USD.
According to provincial leaders, the above results have not met the expectations of the province and are not really commensurate with the potential and cooperation opportunities between the parties. Therefore, exchanging at the conference, Binh Duong province wished to continue receiving the active cooperation from the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Veneto Region, Emilia Romagna Region, the Italian-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce in Turin, as well as from the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy and the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City to support the province in calling for investment attraction, expanding relationships to enhance the level of bilateral cooperation and promote multilateral cooperation towards new breakthroughs in the context of Industry 4.0.
Leaders of Binh Duong province invited Italian investors, businesses and entrepreneurs to come to Binh Duong for exploration of investment cooperation opportunities.
