Binh Duong donated 31.6 billion VND to support the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control in the first phase

​PORTAL – On May 27th, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized a launching ceremony for peak donation campaign to support the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control in a nationwide online form in order to mobilize the domestic and foreign agencies, organizations and individuals to continue joining hands with the Party, State and people to fight against the pandemic.

​​Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Politburo member, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilisation; leaders of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, ministries, central departments and branches; representatives of corporations and businesses.

At Binh Duong bridge point, there were Mr. Vo Van Minh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Loc - Member of Provincial Standing Party Committee, Head of Commission for Mass Mobilization of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial Committee of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Truc - Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee.

Overview of the conference at Binh Duong bridge point

The launching ceremony contributed to promoting propaganda and mobilization for all walks of life to raise awareness and take action to actively participate in the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control; at the same time, comply with 5K measures as recommended by the Ministry of Health. On this basis, to create the spread and promote the tradition of solidarity, mutual affection and love of the nation; mobilize the domestic and foreign organizations, businesses, collectives, individuals and Vietnamese people to continue to join hands and donate funds, medical equipment, food and essential items, etc. to support the localities under heavy impacts of the pandemic, to support the disadvantaged, the poor, the marginalized and the people in the isolation area in the condition of reduced income. In addition, the mobilized funds will contribute more financial resources for the Party and State to buy vaccines, ventilators and medical equipment; assistance expenditures for isolation areas, individuals in charge of isolation and treatment of severe patients; encourage the frontline forces in the fight against the pandemic.

According to the initial summary of the Organization Committee, the assistance funds submitted to the central level have been 2,714 billion VND so far.

Provincial leaders received the support for Covid-19 prevention and control from businesses and organizations

Particularly in Binh Duong province, in response to the appeal, many businesses and organizations have joined hands with the province to well perform the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control, with total assistance of 31.6 billion VND in the first phase.

Mr. Nguyen Van Loc made a speech at the ceremony

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Loc acknowledged and expresses thanks to the businesses and organizations for their financial assistance to Binh Duong province in the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control. The province pledged to make an adequate summary, effectively utilize such assistance fund for the proper purposes and achieve practical results. Particularly, special priority is given to investment in purchasing vaccines in the province; at the same time, assistance and sharing are given to the localities facing difficulties due to the pandemic across the country.

Binh Duong: Calling for the support in the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province called on all people to participate in supporting the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control.

In recent days, the fourth Covid-19 wave in our country has developed in a complicated manner and will last longer than the previous one, which occurred in many localities by many sources of infection, many outbreaks at the same time and the appearance of new strains with faster, wider, and stronger spread.

In Binh Duong province, all levels, branches and people have been well implementing measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic; actively establishing many isolation wards and organizing the isolation of thousands of cases.

Thanks to the tradition of solidarity, mutual affection and love of the nation and in joining hands with the Party and State to focus on the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province calls on compatriots, officials, armed forces, agencies, units, businesses in the province and overseas Binh Duong communities, by their deep feelings and responsibility, to continue to actively participate in supporting the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province respectfully acknowledged the concern and support of agencies, units, organizations, businesses and individuals and pledged to timely distribute the funds to the proper beneficiaries for proper purposes.
