At the ceremony, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development reported the results of deployment and implementation of tree planting in Binh Duong province during the past time. Accordingly, in 2020, the whole province has planted more than 63,000 trees of all kinds, equivalent to 151ha of concentrated plantation forest. In which districts, towns and cities have planted 13,000 trees; the Industrial Development and Investment Corporation - JSC (Becamex IDC) has planted 50,000 trees in infrastructure projects, industrial parks and urban areas. Accumulating in the period of 2016 - 2020, the whole province planted over 297,000 scattered trees. In 2021, the whole province is expected to plant 103,700 trees.

Mr. Nguyen Van Loc - Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Head of Commission for Mass Mobilization of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front participates in planting trees after the launching ceremony. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Truc - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized, implementing the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh "For the benefit of ten years of planting trees, for the benefit of one hundred years of cultivating people", the Party Committee, authorities and people of Binh Duong province have always determined that afforestation and tree planting is an important job associated with the comprehensive development process of the province, not only for today but also for future generations. In the coming time, he suggested that the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development continue to preside over and coordinate well with relevant units to advise the Provincial People's Committee to well implement the contents of the Project to "Plant 1 billion new trees in the period of 2021 - 2025" across the country which was approved by the Prime Minister. At the same time, it is recommended that Party executive committees, authorities, departments, committees, branches, Fatherland Front and unions continue to do better propaganda and raise awareness for each cadre, party member and people about the purpose and meaning of the tree planting festival; creating a far-reaching movement "Households plant trees, people plant trees, all people participate in planting trees and creating forests" in association with green and sustainable economic development, mitigating the impact of climate change to make the landscape and environment of Binh Duong more beautiful.

After the launching ceremony, the delegates participated in planting trees at the Martyrs Cemetery in Bau Bang district.
