At the conference, Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long updated the situation and developments of Covid-19 in the country and in the world over the past time; especially some countries in the region such as: India, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia; disseminated contents related to the development of the Covid-19 pandemic; current preventive measures in our country.
Accordingly, as of the late afternoon of April 28, 2021, the whole country had recorded 2,865 people with Covid-19; of which 1,571 cases were caused by domestic infection. The total number of people in close contact and entry from the pandemic areas who are under health monitoring and medical quarantine is 38,520 people. Regarding the treatment, 2,516 people with Covid-19 have been cured nationwide.
The meeting also listened to Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Nhu Duong - National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology presenting instructions on some practice methods of tracing Covid-19 such as: Causes of a pandemic outbreak; introducing a summary map of the epidemiological investigation timeline to remember; determining the patient's onset date; determining the period of 3 days before onset until the patient is in medical quarantine to conduct tracing; trace method according to the principle of speed when case information is available.
