As reported, in the 2016-2021 tenure, the total number of cases with Assessors participating in the trial of the People's Court of two levels in Binh Duong province is 18,555 cases of all types. In which, Assessors of the provincial People's Court participated in the trial of 1,299 cases of all types, Assessors of the district People's Court participated in the trial of 17,256 cases of all types.
In general, when participating in the trial, the Assessors all complied with the provisions of law. Before participating in the trial, the Assessors all studied the case file immediately after the the Chief Justice's assignment decision, prepared a questioning plan, the contents to be educated for the defendant and analyzed the legal and human aspects in cases. The Assessors demonstrated the independence in the judgment settlement perspective, ensured the principle of independence and complied with the law. In addition, the Court always created conditions to ensure the rights and obligations of Assessors in accordance with the law when participating in the trial.
