​As reported, in 2020, Thuan An City invested in 09 projects in service of NDPC with a total capital of 13.9 billion VND from the city's irrigation sources. The completed works made an important contribution to the prevention and control of flooding and natural disasters in the area. At the same time, dredging and clearing the flow of 42 local canals and trenches, 25km of inter-field canals and trenches, ensuring irrigation and drainage; cleaning clearly 173 canals and trenches, clearing 89.5ha of canals and trenches, etc. In 2020, the SC for NDPC & SR implemented plans to cope with the level of natural disaster risk, strengthened the NDPC & SR in the city according to the "4 on the spot" motto. At the same time, directing localities to take measures to prevent and control thunderstorms, tornadoes and hail during the period of seasonal transition; strengthening implementation of measures to inspect and prevent drowning accidents for students in the summer, reinforcing canal and ditch embankments before, during and after the rainy season in communes, wards, especially communes and wards along the Saigon River, etc.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Do Thanh Su - Vice Chairman of the Thuan An City People's Committee suggested that, in 2021, functional divisions, branches and units continue to develop plans for NDPC & SR for the period of 2021-2025, plan for 2021.
