​​With the noble meaning of blood donation to save lives, over the past years, the VBD movement in the province has been increasingly developed, attracting many classes of people to participate, contributing to help many patients who need blood to be treated promptly. In 2020, despite being impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, many blood donations were delayed and canceled and failed, but the VBD movement in the province still achieved many positive results, exceeding the assigned targets. The whole province organized 90 voluntary blood donations, mobilized 19,972 blood units (reaching 102% of the assigned target). However, the amount of blood used for treatment and emergency at health facilities in recent years and at present is always in shortage. Therefore, the blood donation to save lives of the Red Cross volunteers and all classes of people in the province during this year's Pink Spring Festival is of great significance.

At the end of the Pink Spring Festival in 2021, the Organizing Committee received 996 blood units. This amount of blood will contribute positively to the Health branch to well perform the treatment and emergency work, especially during the upcoming Lunar New Year of Tan Suu 2021.
