Overview of the conference
In 2020, despite many difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Binh Duong provincial Post Office has made efforts to fulfill the annual plan targets with revenue of 592 VND billion, achieving 101% of the plan and up 1% over the same period in 2019; contributing State budget with 24.4 billion VND, up 55% over the same period. At the same time, completing the revenue of services such as international express delivery, PTI Insurance, Postal savings balance reached 1,004 billion VND.
With the strength in facilities, the widespread and reputable network of post offices, by 2020, the Provincial Post Office has delivered 862,649 letters (accounting for 70% market share); over 4.2 million packages, packages of goods (accounting for 25% market share) and over 1.5 million newspapers and magazines of all kinds (nearly 100% market share).
In particular, in implementation of the Decision no. 45/2016/QD-TTg of Prime Minister on receiving documents and returning results of administrative procedures settlement, during the Covid-19 pandemic season, the Provincial Post Office delivered over 1.1 million public administrative documents (an increase of 387,315 documents compared to 2019). The Provincial Post Office has also piloted employees to receive and return documents in 05 wards in Thu Dau Mot city.
In 2021, the Provincial Post Office strives to complete the production and business targets: Revenue reaches VND 605,735 billion; Salary calculation revenue reaches 217,213 billion VND and 17,237 billion VND difference in revenue and expenditure. The provincial post office will take advantage of the opportunity of the whole country deploying to make citizen identification cards with electronic chips to complete the plan of public administrative service revenue in 2021, etc.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Lai Xuan Thanh - Director of the Department of Information and Communications suggested the Provincial Post Office need to implement synchronous solutions to strengthen network capacity, quality of labor, means of transportation, cargo security, allocate human resources to ensure good service to the needs of public postal services, especially services of postage stamps, receipt and return of administrative procedures, etc. for people in rural areas. Regularly training and fostering professional skills, improving working capacity of employees receiving and returning administrative procedures to meet the needs of people and enterprises. In addition, the provisions of the law on postal networks serving the Party and State agencies need to be strictly implemented.
In the face of complicated pandemic, Mr. Lai Xuan Thanh suggested that the Provincial Post Office equip employees with tools and equipment for pandemic prevention and control; and increase indirect transactions with technology solutions.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Information and Communications awarded the Emulation Flag to the Dau Tieng District Post Office for its outstanding achievements in leading the emulation movement in 2020; Vietnam Post Corporation awarded Certificates of Merit to the Binh Duong provincial Post Office and 03 affiliated units for outstanding achievements in 2020.
