PORTAL - On the morning of December 30, at Binh Duong Convention and Exhibition Center, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs held a training conference to implement some new contents of the Labor Code 2019 and other legal documents for nearly 1,000 employees.
At the conference, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of the province gave information about the point of directing and guiding the implementation of some basic contents of the Labor Code 2019. In which, focus on some new points such as: Expanding the subjects applicable to people working without labor contracts; extending the employee's right to unilaterally terminate the labor contract; time for dialogue, collective negotiation, collective labor agreement; enhancing flexibility and autonomy of parties in labor relations in terms of wages, protection of specific workers such as workers with disabilities, minor employees, etc.
The Labor Code 2019 was passed by the 8th Session of the 14th National Assembly on January 20, 2019, effective from January 1, 2021, including 17 chapters and 220 articles; 22 articles were cut from the Labor Code 2012; nearly 200 articles in all chapters were amended and supplemented. Especially, there are many important amendments and supplements to the adjustment of labor relations and relationships closely related to labor relations, prescribing the labor principles, standards, and labor management, creating the highest direct legal basis, contributing to building harmonious, stable, progressive labor relations, and at the same time meeting new requirements of labor market management and new requirements in the context of increasingly deepening international integration.
