PORTAL - On the morning of November 19, at the Administrative Center of Binh Duong Province, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting of the Organizing Committee of major holidays in the province through the Plan to organize activities to celebrate major holidays and activities to serve the Tan Suu Lunar New Year 2021 in the province.
Attending were Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of some provincial departments, committees and branches.
According to the draft plan, in 2021, Binh Duong will organize activities to celebrate major holidays such as: Celebrating the 24th anniversary of Binh Duong's development and a special art show to celebrate New Year's Day 2021 (January 01, 1997 - January 01, 2021); celebrating the 91st anniversary of the establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 03, 1930 - February 03, 2021) and welcoming the Tan Suu Lunar New Year 2021; celebrating the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Death Anniversary of the Hung Kings; celebrating the 46th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2021) and celebrating the 131st anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth date (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2021); celebrating the 76 years of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2021) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 02, 1945 - September 02, 2021); celebrating 76 years of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 1945 - October 13, 2021); celebrating 77 years of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2021) and 32 years of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2021); activities and propaganda on the election of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the term 2021-2026.
The Spring Flower Market will take place from December 20 to December 30 of the lunar calendar to serve the Tet shopping needs of people
Activities to celebrate the New Year's Day, to welcome the national traditional New Year and to celebrate the Party - celebrate Tan Suu Spring 2021 include: Spring Flower Market (from December 20 to December 30 of lunar calendar); Bach Dang Flower Street (from December 12 to January 06 of the Lunar New Year); entertainment activities at Thu Dau Mot Park, the Provincial Center for Culture and Arts (from December 29 to January 05 of the Lunar New Year); New Year's Eve meeting of Tan Suu Lunar New Year 2021 and cultural and artistic activities to celebrate the new year.
There are also decoration activities of streets and flower streets to welcome the new year, Spring Flower Festival, Spring Newspaper Festival, Spring travel 2021; meeting with diplomatic delegations; meetings with religious dignitaries, ethnic minorities and expatriates; meeting with press; meeting with artists.
At the meeting, delegates discussed and commented on the content of the province's welcome activities in 2021. In particular, attention should be paid to the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control when organizing activities to gather people; street decoration; guests to attend the programs; commending and rewarding typical individuals, etc.
Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao basically agreed the content of the Plan to organize activities to celebrate major holidays and activities to serve the Tan Suu Lunar New Year 2021. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Standing Organizing Committee to synthesize appropriate comments to supplement and complete the plan before consulting the Provincial People's Committee for promulgation. He noted that the organization of major holidays and activities during the Tan Suu Lunar New Year 2021 should fully ensure the meaning and value of the festival, the appropriate size, nature and form of organization; ensure the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control, security and order; pay attention to organize more playgrounds to create a joyful atmosphere for participants; clearly assign responsibilities to members in the coordination of organizing festival activities.
