PORTAL – The Provincial People's Committee promulgates a Plan on prevention and control of livestock and poultry diseases in the province in 2021.
Accordingly, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in coordination with relevant departments and branches and the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities continue to thoroughly grasp, seriously and effectively implement the Prime Minister's instructions, guidelines of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the prevention and control of African Swine Fever; promulgate mechanisms, policies and guiding documents related to the prevention and control of livestock and poultry diseases; especially the work of vaccination for disease prevention, decontamination and disinfection of livestock environment and disease surveillance. Promptly, fully and strictly arranging budget and human resources for the prevention and control of livestock and poultry diseases. Organizing regular prevention and control of livestock and poultry diseases and arranging resources ready to participate in diseases control when a disease occurs.
At the same time, carrying out regular, wide-ranging information and propaganda to specific subjects (breeders, traders, staff in charge of veterinary, etc.) on solutions to prevention and control of diseases, biosecurity in animal husbandry and warning the harmful effects of livestock and poultry diseases to the economy and livestock sector. Diversifying and modernizing forms of communication in the media. Training grassroots civil servants, public employees and veterinarians in the Veterinary Agency at all levels and breeders and traders in the expertise and profession as well as the guidelines, policies, regulations and instructions of State and Superior Veterinary Agencies in the field of animal disease prevention and control.
At the same time, implementing synchronous technical solutions such as: Management of livestock operations; vaccination; disease monitoring, periodic cleaning, decontamination and disinfection of households/livestock farms; trading points for livestock and poultry and livestock and poultry products; high-risk areas, public areas, etc. in the province after each concentrated vaccination. Quarantining the transport of animals and animal products; controlling animal slaughter and inspecting veterinary hygiene. Periodically inspecting the quality of veterinary drugs, animal feed quality and the use of "banned substances" at business and trading establishments; inspecting veterinary practice conditions of relevant organizations and individuals in the province according to regulations.
People's Committees of districts, towns and cities actively coordinate with Veterinary Agencies to implement activities to build and maintain conditions of livestock areas that have been certified to be safe from animal diseases to meet consumption in the province and in the country. For African swine fever, seriously implementing the Decision no. 2496/QD-UBND dated August 31, 2020 of the Binh Duong provincial People's Committee on the approval of the implementation plan of the "National plan on African swine fever prevention and control for the 2020-2025 period" in Binh Duong province.
