In the academic year 2019-2020, although affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the university's staff, lecturers and students have united, innovated, created, and tried to fulfill the task of "pausing to school, no stopping learning", deployed many teaching and learning forms suitable to the situation to ensure the training progress and quality. The university also continues to implement the national qualification framework, developing a modern university training program to meet the requirements of the labor market and international integration. At the same time, improving the quality of the contingent of lecturers and managers to meet the requirements, tasks and complete the academic year plan. The investment in upgrading a number of work items in service of teaching and learning activities has also been completed during the academic year.

In the academic year 2020-2021, Binh Duong Economics and Technology University continues to focus on building and developing infrastructure, centers for experimental and creative research, actively improving teaching and learning environment for lecturers and students of all blocks and majors, promoting the quality of training and open new blocks and majors to suit the needs of students and society. In addition, the University also strengthens international cooperation and exchange activities to learn and foster more experiences, contributing to the supply of highly qualified human resources to serve the needs of society and the country.
On this occasion, the University was honored to be awarded the Emulation Flag of "The unit leading the emulation movement of universities and colleges in the academic year 2019-2020" by the Provincial People's Committee; Ph.D. Le Bich Phuong – the Rector was awarded Certificate of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee.
