Regarding socio-economic development, in the past 10 months, although the domestic economy has been heavily affected by the Covid-19 epidemic and natural disasters, but Binh Duong still ensures its growth rate stability. Industrial production has many positive signals, export and import markets continue to recover, and enterprises have orders which are increasing and focus on production at the end of the year. Accumulating 10 months, the Index of Industrial Production increased by 6.77% over the same period in 2019 (the same period increased by 6.1%). Total retail sales of goods and service revenue reached more than 208,000 billion VND; increase by 11.7% over the same period, export turnover reached over 22 billion USD, increase 6.85 over the same period. Domestic investment attraction as of October 15, 2020 reached nearly 59,500 billion VND, an increase of nearly 21% over the same period. Accumulated up to now, there are nearly 47,600 enterprises in the province with a total capital of 424,000 billion VND. Foreign investment attraction reaches nearly 1.7 billion USD, exceeding 19% of the plan in 2020. Up to now, there are 3,909 foreign investment projects in the province with a total capital of 35.2 billion USD. The socio-cultural fields achieved good results, social security was guaranteed.
