In field of economics, the province continues to maintain its position as one of the leading units in the Southern key economic region and the whole country, continue to maintain the high growth rate of 9.35% / year; competitiveness, potentials and economic scale have been significantly improved, GRDP by 2020 is 1.7 times higher than 2015, GRDP per capita reaches 155.7 million VND, higher than the average rate of the Southeast and 2.5 times higher than the national average. The economic structure continues to shift towards modernity, industry - service - agriculture - taxes minus any subsidies on products, respectively: 66,53% - 22,78% - 2,51% - 8,18%. State budget revenue reached and exceeded both the revenue and growth rate, with an average annual increase of 11.2%, it is expected by the end of 2020, the total budget revenue will be 62,200 billion, increase up 1.7 times compared to 2015. By 2019, 100% of communes will reach new rural standards, complete the plan one year in advance. Currently, Binh Duong is considered by the Central to be one of the leading localities with many successes in the cause of industrialization, modernization and urbanization; continues to make important contributions to the Southern key economic region and the whole country.
Urban infrastructure is synchronously invested

Up to now, the total social investment capital accounts for 35% of the GRDP; the total number of domestic enterprises registered for business reached 45,500 enterprises, with a total registered capital of about 400,000 billion VND (increase up 2.5 times of the number of enterprises and 2.9 times of capital compared to 2015); The total number of foreign investment projects reached 3,865 projects, with a total registered capital of 34.9 billion USD (increase 1.5 times of the number of projects and 1.6 times of capital compared to 2015).
Expansion of international cooperation
In the term 2015-2020, Binh Duong has strengthened foreign relations, focused on renewing development models, making breakthroughs in attracting investment, creating new growth engines through cooperation and implementation of Binh Duong Smart City Project. Smart city strategies achieved positive results with Binh Duong officially becoming a member of the world Technopolis Association (WTA) and the intelligent Community Forum (ICF); For 02 consecutive years, it was honored as one of the 21 cities and regions with the world's typical smart city development strategy; at the same time, it was selected as the host of the international event Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (in 2018-2019). In 2019, Binh Duong continues to create a new outstanding remark when organizing the announcement of construction of Binh Duong New City World Trade Center and become a member of the Association of World Trade Centers. Those events have contributed to elevating Binh Duong to a new position, opening opportunities for extensive international cooperation, promoting commercial development and attracting more and more effective investment.

Party Construction and Reorganization, political system construction as received special attention, creating many positive changes. The organizational arrangement of the political system is streamlined, operating effectively and efficiently, associated with the reduction in personnel with good results. Up to now, 14 focal points have been consolidated, merged, and dissolved at the provincial and district levels; implementing the schedule to convert 07 revenue-earning units into joint stock companies; completing the arrangement and placement of cadres, civil servants and part-time activists at commune, district and hamlet levels in accordance with the current regulations; pilot implementation of 05 models of concurrent titles at the provincial and district levels; streamlining 10% of the personnel compared to the 2015 target. Solidarity, unity, and synchronous coordination among the party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have been strengthened; the strength of national unity is strengthened.
In general, Binh Duong today has had rapid and fairly steady development, which is the result of a process of continuous and persistent efforts over many terms. These great achievements are firstly thanks to the leadership and close direction of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, and the Government; the coordination, support and facilitation of ministries, departments, branches and mass organizations at the central level and provinces and cities; especially the spirit of solidarity and unity within the Party and high consensus in society; is the wise, comprehensive, focused, correct, timely and effective leadership of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee through the periods; is the will of self-reliance, aspiration to improve, with the spirit of initiative, creativity, responsibility and continuous striving of the entire political system, all classes of people and the community of businesses in the province.

Belief consolidation among people
Binh Duong is the 6th of 63 provinces and cities which is populous with a lot of pressure because the mechanical population increase rapidly every year and accounts for more than 53.5% of the province's population. Facing this situation, the Provincial Party Committee has focused on leading to better solving the relationship between economic growth and social progress and equity in each step and each development policy, combining quite well between economic policies with social policy. The province has mobilized most of its resources to focus on investment in the development of education and health and well solving social problems. In particular, there have been many policies to mobilize resources to invest in social housing development, housing for workers, up to now it has attracted 86 projects, about 200 hectares land area and 3.9 million m2 of construction floor. Social security and welfare are increasingly expanded and improved, ensuring that all people are cared for; fully and fairly enjoy the achievements from economic development. The quality of life for all classes of people has been improved. The work of poverty reduction has achieved important achievements. In 2017, Binh Duong was recognized as the first province in the country that there is no poor household according to the central standards; the poverty rate according to the provincial standards is below 1%.

Society and politics are stable; Political security, social safety and order are always maintained, not to be passive, unexpected in all situations. In particular, the province has had many innovative solutions with high efficiency in ensuring security and order. So far, 08 Police stations have been built and put into operation in industrial zones; 515 teams of assault workers and 44 self-defense units in enterprises; established and deployed force part-time 113 in 09 districts, towns and cities; continue to promote the effectiveness of more than 200 models and movements among the people to ensure political security and social order and safety.
