The project is implemented in public land (Ong Doc hill) with a total area of more than 54,000 square meters, located at Group 32, Quarter 8, Tuong Binh Hiep Ward, Thu Dau Mot City. During 04 years (2020-2023), the concentrated lacquer craft village is deployed to build with full infrastructure of wastewater treatment system, centralized production area, product display area, clan ancestral house, craft village welcome gate, tourism service, etc. Estimated budget is VND 105 billion.
The Project is to investigate and survey the actual craft village activities, difficulties and problems to propose settlements and solutions; creating the best conditions for establishments and enterprises to access relevant programs and policies to support as well as propose to participate in seminars, exhibitions and fairs to promote products in depth, search for markets and apply new science and technology. Introducing and advertising specific cultural, historical and religious relics in the locality and beautiful green landscape with orchards, culinary and folk arts creating synergy for socio-economic development and creating the excitement of tourists to help the development in the type of sightseeing, tourism and shopping in the craft village and neighboring areas in Thu Dau Mot city.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Mai Hung Dung emphasized that the Project approved by the Provincial People's Committee shows the great efforts and determination of the province and locality in preserving and promoting cultural heritage values and step by step building solutions to overcome the shortcomings and difficulties of the lacquer sector in recent years.
In order for the Project to quickly be implemented effectively, Mr. Mai Hung Dung suggested the Project Steering Committee quickly develop the implementation plan, urge and monitor the implementation; Provincial departments and branches in coordination with the People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot city, Tuong Binh Hiep ward focus on propagating the Project, ensuring financial resources for the Project's activities; monitoring and implementing supporting policies to help stabilize the lacquer production and business activities; creating conditions for production establishments, business enterprises to access the market and boost consumption network inside and outside the province, etc.
