PORTAL - On the morning of September 22, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs – Mr. Tran Anh Tuan chaired a meeting with Binh Duong province to approve the project to establish Tan Binh town, Bac Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province.
Mr. Ly Van Dep - Deputy Director of Department of Home Affairs is authorized by Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee to present the Project to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Tan Binh town has a natural land area of 28.93 km2 and population of 9,879 people (as of December 31, 2019), of which the permanent population is 7,387 people; the non-permanent resident population is 2,492 people. Administrative boundaries: The North borders Hung Hoa commune, Bau Bang district and Phuoc Hoa commune, Phu Giao district, the South borders Vinh Tan ward, Tan Uyen town, the west borders Chanh Phu Hoa ward, Ben Cat town and the the East borders Binh My commune, Bac Tan Uyen district.
According to Decision 2970/QD-UBND dated October 10, 2019 of the Provincial People's Committee, Tan Binh is recognized as a fifth class city. Regarding the structure and level of socio-economic development, Tan Binh has all exceeded the targets according to the provisions of Resolution 1211/2016/NQ-UBTVQ13. The budget balance in 2019 of Tan Binh is residual balance, the rate of non-agricultural labor accounts for about 68.69% of the total workforce in the commune; the average rate of poor households in 03 years 2017, 2018 and 2019 is 0%.
Mr. Ly Van Dep - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs said that, compared to the standards of the town, Tan Binh had reached 4/4 standards in accordance with the law. The establishment of Tan Binh town, Bac Tan Uyen district is necessary, in line with the masterplan on socio-economic development of the province and general planning of Tan Binh urban area and meeting people's aspirations.
Through the presentation of the project, the Ministry of Home Affairs requested Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee to complete the Project according to the comments of the Ministry of Home Affairs; then, it will be the basis for the Ministry of Home Affairs to develop the submission to Standing Committee of National Assembly for approval.
