In the period of 2015-2020, the Department of Industry and Trade has made efforts to advise the provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Industry and Trade on programs, plans and solutions for sector activities in a timely manner. At the same time, the Department has actively and proactively coordinated with departments, branches, localities and enterprise community in the province to find solutions to remove difficulties, search markets, stimulate consumer demand, boost consumption of goods, maintain stable production and business and prevent and control Covid-19 diseases. As a result, the Industrial Development Index increases by 9.5%/ year on average; total retail sales of goods increases by 17%/year on average; export increases by 11.5%/ year on average; and import increases by 12.4%/ year on average, etc.
Particularly in the first 6 months of 2020, the Department of Industry and Trade has basically completed the assigned tasks. The focus is on the task of stabilizing the essential commodity market to cope with the evolution of the epidemic and support the elimination of difficulties in production and business activities of enterprises affected by Covid-19 epidemic.
