This is one of the activities showing the determination to effectively implement the targets of social insurance and universal health insurance set by the Party and the State. In the first 6 months of 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic spread across the country and caused considerable damage to the country's socio-economic situation; many large enterprises in the fields of garment, leather shoes, electronics, etc. have to narrow production and business or suspend operations, employees without work must stop, quit their jobs. In parallel, due to ensuring the implementation of social distancing, the development of subjects participating in voluntary social insurance and household health insurance still faces many difficulties.
In that context, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic was basically controlled in our country, Vietnam Social Security has made great efforts to implement many solutions to develop subjects participating in voluntary social insurance and household health insurance, striving for successfully fulfilling political tasks and simultaneously ensuring the principles of prevention and control of Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, the development of social insurance and health insurance subjects in the first 6 months of 2020 achieved positive results. Specifically, the number of people participating in compulsory social insurance throughout the country was 14,473 million, reaching over 90% of the plan; the number of people participating in unemployment insurance is 12,716 million, reaching 88% of the plan; the number of people participating in health insurance is 85,521 million, reaching over 97% of the plan.
At Binh Duong bridge point, the Launching ceremony is held in two forms: Online and mobile propaganda with the theme "The whole country join hands to implement social insurance, universal health insurance" associated with the media content about the position, role and human meaning of health insurance and social insurance policies; about benefits when participating in voluntary social insurance and household health insurance, mobilizing to develop subjects participating in voluntary social insurance and household health insurance towards target groups including farmers, employees in the informal sector.
