The Scheme is implemented in public land (Ong Doc Hill) with a total area of over 54,000m2, located at Group 32, Quarter 8, Tuong Binh Hiep Ward, Thu Dau Mot City. Within 4 years (2020-2023), build a centralized lacquer village with full infrastructure having wastewater disposal system, concentrated production area, product display area, ancestor worship house, welcome gate of craft village, tourism service. The estimated cost is VND 105 billion.
The Scheme aims to investigate the actual survey of craft village activities, problems to propose solutions to solve; create the best conditions for establishments and enterprises to access related programs and policies to support and propose to participate in seminars, exhibitions and fairs to promote in-depth products, search for markets, apply new science and technology. To introduce and promote cultural and historical relics specific to the locality and beautiful green landscapes with fruit garden, food and folk art creating synergy for developing socio-economy and creating the interest of tourists to help develop the type of sightseeing, tourism, shopping in craft village and surrounding areas in Thu Dau Mot City.
Overview of the meeting
At the meeting, the People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City (the project investor) proposed to use the provincial budget capital for the Scheme; Provincial People's Committee allowed adjustment to subdivision planning to implement the Scheme; supplementing the Scheme to the city's land use plan for 2020, etc.
Concluding the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman Mai Hung Dung asked the members of the Scheme Steering Committee to continue providing comments to complete the Operation Regulation of the Steering Committee. Agree to organize the Scheme Announcement Ceremony in August 2020. Regarding the recommendations of the People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City, Mr. Mai Hung Dung asked the City People's Committee, from now to the end of 2020, to complete the detailed planning of 1/500 land for implementing the Scheme; to adjust subdivision planning; to get opinions of people, lacquer sculpture associations and have a plan to relocate and compensate households on the land to deploy the Scheme.
