Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Van Nam welcomes H.E Daniel J. Kritenbrink - Ambassador of the United States in Vietnam
At the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Van Nam looked at the highlights of Binh Duong after more than 20 years of development. Binh Duong, from an agricultural province, has risen to become the country's bright spot in socio-economic development and attracting foreign investment. So far, Binh Duong has attracted more than USD 35 billion of foreign investment capital; in which, the United States ranked 12th on investment projects in Binh Duong with a total capital of over USD 760 million.
Sharing with the Ambassador, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that, despite the good prevention and control of Covid-19 disease, to date, Binh Duong has no cases of Covid-19, but the Covid-19 pandemic has significantly affected the socio-economy as well as enterprises investing in Binh Duong, including US enterprises.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the significance of the US Ambassador's visit in Binh Duong and the US Consulate General's in Ho Chi Minh City, thereby contributing to strengthening the friendly relationship between Vietnam and the United States on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Secretary hopes that the US Ambassador and Consulate General continue to support and introduce US enterprises to Binh Duong for investment, especially in the field of high-tech industry.

Responding to the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Van Nam, H.E Daniel J. Kritenbrink expressed his impression on the outstanding development of Binh Duong as well as the mobilization of the entire political system in the effective prevention and control of Covid- 19. The US Government is very interested in training high quality human resources in Vietnam. H.E Daniel J. Kritenbrink wants the province to support and create favorable conditions for Binh Duong international students to study in the United States and in the coming time, the two parties will have cooperation in developing human resources of Vietnam. At the same time, he will actively explore the preferential fields in attracting investment of Binh Duong to promote and popularize to US enterprises.
