GRDP increases by 9.5%

Social security is concerned

Activities of propaganda, encouragement and organization of activities to celebrate the New Year, national holidays, major anniversaries and local political events took place vigorously and widely. Communication and science technology activities continue to be ensured smoothly and effectively.
Foreign affairs and international integration have been carried out proactively and comprehensively, creating favorable conditions to attract investment, promoting foreign economic relations and cultural exchanges. National defense and security in the province are guaranteed. The province has actively monitored, grasped the situation and implemented an effective and definitive plan to handle the violations of the law.
Strive to successfully achieve the targets and tasks in 2020
In addition to the achieved results, Binh Duong's socio-economic situation in 2019 still has some shortcomings and limitations. That is, the rate of disbursement of public investment capital was low compared to the adjusted plan in 2019, until November 15th, 2019, the disbursement value reached VND 5,033 billion, reaching 40.3% of the adjusted plan in 2019; a number of key projects have focused on directing but are still slow and encounter many obstacles in the stage of site clearance, investment procedures, especially key traffic works; a number of new and extended industrial park projects are still slow in implementation. The situation of infectious disease has increased, lack of medical supplies and medicine in some health facilities; Unmanaged and ineffective use of a number of invested health facilities; social insurance participation rate is low compared to the labor force; exploitation and use of cultural and sports constructions, learning functions of grassroots community have not promoted synchronously and effectively; Entertainment activities have not yet been organized to meet the needs of the people.
To successfully accomplish the objectives and tasks of socio-economic development, defense and security in 2020, the whole province strives to increase the industrial production index by 9.55% compared to 2019; industrial development associated with urban development, stabilizing the growth rate and playing an important role in promoting the development of other industries and fields; value added of service sector increased by 10.1%, total retail sales of goods and services increased by 19.9%, export turnover increased by 15% compared to 2019; production value of agriculture - forestry - fishery increased by 4%; encourage urban agriculture, high-tech application agriculture, organic agriculture; scaling up and promoting the effectiveness of effective agricultural cultivation models; thoroughly review and handle shortcomings in land management, especially related to public land, in order to prevent illegal sale of land lots; review, manage and plan the relocation of production and business establishments using toxic chemicals and environmental pollution out of urban centers and concentrated residential areas.
Branches and levels focused on implementing the 3-year financial and budget plan 2020-2022. Striving to achieve total state budget revenue of VND 62,200 billion (up 9% compared to the estimated implementation in 2019), total local balanced budget expenditure is VND 22,400 billion (up 9% compared to the estimate in 2019). Estimated total investment capital for development of the whole society is about VND 132,416 billion, accounting for 34.5% of the province's total product and an increase of 15.5% compared to 2019; attracting foreign direct investment of over USD $1.4 billion. Striving to reduce the rate of poor households to less than 1% according to the multidimensional poverty line of the province; create jobs for 45,000 workers, the rate of trained workers reaches 80%. Performing well the work of people's health care; adequately and timely supply of medical equipment, supplies and medicines in medical examination and treatment of diseases at all levels; speeding up the investment of 1,500 provincial General Hospital. Reviewing the investment plan for the network of public schools to ensure the need to improve the quality of teaching and learning; vocational guidance and student orientation in general education; striving for the rate of public schools reaching the national standard of 74.4%.
