According to Mr. Paul Jansen, currently, Belgium is developing strongly in the areas of urban development, renewable energy and smart transport. He highly appreciated Binh Duong's cooperation with 04 large and high-tech projects of Belgian companies such as AB Inbev. In this visit to Binh Duong, the Belgian side wishes to cooperate with Binh Duong in two areas including mixed urban development and urban infrastructure and automatic surveillance cameras in the construction of smart cities.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman Dang Minh Hung informed the Ambassador about socio-economic situation and investment attraction in Binh Duong province in 2019. Along with focusing on economic development, Binh Duong pays attention to social security and education culture towards sustainable development. Currently, Binh Duong has been making efforts to implement administrative reform, promote foreign investment attraction selectively, especially high-tech enterprises. Provincial leaders are committed to always accompany the business. At the same time, the functional departments have been trying to build smart city projects, including intelligent transportation, smart infrastructure, smart education, smart health, renewable energy etc. so that Binh Duong will soon become a smart city.
Mr. Paul Jansen said that through research, Belgian businesses operating in Binh Duong are very satisfied with the investment environment in the province. He expected that after this meeting, potential organizations, localities and businesses from Belgium would continue to cooperate with Binh Duong in many fields.
After the meeting, the Delegation had a working session with Transportation Department and Becamex IDC Corporation on issues related to electricity transmission grid, development and storage of renewable energy and surveillance cameras.
