Speaking at the conference's opening, Mr. Ho Van Binh emphasized the importance of implementing smart lighting projects for Binh Duong province. Following the trend of the world, Binh Duong province is gradually developing smart urban, attracting investment in smart technical infrastructure projects, so the demand for smart lighting is also developing. The smart lighting for typical architectural works of the province contributes in improving the architecture of urban landscape, which expressed through morphology, space, beauty of the city at night, ensuring harmony, increasing architectural values for urban buildings.

The conference shared information about the development orientation of Binh Duong Smart city; current status and plan of developing smart lighting system of the province in the coming time; experience in deploying, managing and operating smart lighting systems in the world and propose solutions to support loans from ADB.

According to experts, the development of Smart city and intelligent lighting system based on Internet of Things (IoT), aiming to collect, synthesize and analyze data on lighting systems, including data on surrounding environment. Based on the analysis of current data and reports in the area, managers will update the lighting situation in each area in the city, so that timely make decisions such as repairing, replacing, adjusting the brightness of lamps etc. to ensure traffic safety, urban security and energy saving. According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Long - Director of Binh Duong Smart city Office, in 2019, Binh Duong will deploy the installation of smart lighting in Binh Duong new city. This is also the highlight of 2019 Horasis event in Binh Duong.
