Mr. Ousmane Dione congratulated on Binh Duong's economic development achievements and expressed his pleasure to accompany and sponsor Binh Duong to implement waste water treatment and environmental improvement projects, which helps Binh Duong to increase competitiveness, sustainable development and high technology investment attraction. The World Bank is ready to support the province's next projects, first of all, the wastewater collection and treatment system project in Di An town, expected to be completed by the end of 2019; at the same time, he hoped to build a long-term cooperative relationship with Binh Duong and implement many projects to promote economic development and improve people's lives.

Mr. Tran Thanh Liem - Chairman of Provincial People's Committee thanked the WB's interest over the past time for enthusiastically supporting Binh Duong to successfully implement projects. He said that, Binh Duong is oriented towards sustainable development; therefore environmental issues are much focused. Currently, the province is focusing on increasing service industries; adjusting the structure of investment attraction, giving priority to high value-added and low-labor-intensive industries. Along with that, in the process of building smart city, besides economic development, the province is also very interested in ensuring living environment and improving quality and utility for the people. Therefore, he hoped that, WB will continue to support Binh Duong to successfully implement waste water treatment projects in the province as well as projects are expected to be implemented in the near future.
