Reports on the management and leadership of provincial People's Committee, socio-economic situation, national defense and security in January 0f 2019 in Binh Duong were approved.
Accordingly, in January of 2019, the industrial production index increased by 7.02% compared to the previous month and by 18.95% against the same period last year. The volume of goods retail and turnover of services reached VND 18,971 billion, increasing by 6.1% against the previous month and by 14.3% compared to the same period last year. The export turnover was USD 2,475 billion, increasing by 14.9% against the previous month and by 13.2% in comparison with the same period last year. The import turnover was USD 1,869 billion, increasing by 13.6% against the previous month and by 11.5% compared to the same period last year. Till January 15th 2019, the province lured VND 2,220 billion of domestic investment and USD 194 million of FDI, 50% up against the same period last year. Nearly VND 5.400 billion was collected to the state budget, increasing by 6% in comparison with the same period last year and obtaining by 9.9% of the plan assigned by provincial People's Council.
The tasks of taking care of beneficiary families were well implemented. The province promptly launched campaigns to help needy people and laborers for Tet. The estimate of spending for social beneficiaries from the state budget was VND 211.240 billion, up 20.1% compared to 2018.
