The Asian Economic Cooperation Forum (Horasis) in 2018 officially opened
in Binh Duong provincial Convention and Exhibition Center on Nov 26th, 2018.
The event welcome Trinh Dinh Dung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; representatives of Ministries; Tran Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee, Head of Binh Duong National Assembly Delegation; Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee, Dr. Frank-Jurgen Richter, Chairman and Founder of Switzerland's Horasis, Deputy Chairmen of Binh Duong provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of Binh Duong provincial Departments; CEOs of enterprises home and abroad; researchers from domestic provinces and other countries.

Over 400 high ranking leaders and CEOs from more than 60 countries together with 400 leaders and CEOs of Viet Nam's top leading businesses joined The Asian Economic Cooperation Forum (Horasis) in 2018 From 25 to 26 Nov, 2018, the Forum was organized in the form of World Economic Forum with 4 plenary sessions and 36 dialogues. The thematic sessions had speeches of top speakers about regional and world's economic matters, new trends of technological development. Discussions focused great attention on the topic: Asia – Opportunities, challenges and visions for businesses and organizations in the era of 4.0 industrial revolution.
Deputy Prime Minister spoke at the opening ceremony
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung briefed the prominent achievements of Viet Nam's economy after over 30 years of renovation, while highly evaluating the dramatic development of Binh Duong. He said that Binh Duong is one of the leading and dynamic localities in building good business climate to absorb the FDI. The economic structure has shifted in accordance with the development. The dynamic development of Binh Duong has contributed to not only the growth of the southern key economic zones but the development of the whole nation as well.
On behalf of the Government, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized certain key contents that the constructive and supportive government of Viet Nam is expecting to do. Accordingly, the utmost goal is to stabilize the micro-economy, maintain the nation's financial and monetary safety, continue to improve business environment, resolve difficulties and obstacles for businesses, strive to join the group of leading countries of ASEAN, reach the standard codes of OECD countries in terms of competitiveness, implement synchronously and dramatically the strategic policies, improve the effectiveness of international integration…
The Deputy Prime Minister expected that The Asian Economic Cooperation Forum (Horasis) in 2018 in Binh Duong will help to figure out definitely the vision for Asia, to make clear the elements that have possible impacts on the development and the future of Asia, to identify what countries, businesses have to do for a peaceful and prosperous Asia, and to introduce good business opportunities of Viet Nam and Binh Duong to others.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Frank – Jurgen Richter, Horasis' Chairman said Viet Nam is a typical success. The government has focused on improving business climate, renovation and creativity, encouraging businesses to go ahead. The government has put great attention on boosting the development of science and technology. The economy of Viet Nam is gaining good growth rate on the foundation of modern science and technology, renovation and creativity. Horasis believes in good results with the long term cooperation with Viet Nam and appeals its members to invest in Viet Nam.
Chairman of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee addressed the opening ceremony
Tran Thanh Liem, Chairman of Binh Dung provincial People's Committee stressed that The Asian Economic Cooperation Forum (Horasis) in 2018 is expected to bring more practical opportunities to provincial government, sectors and business community so as to exchange and share multi-dimensional perspectives and experiences, to access the new models of development that prove suitable to the current development trends, contributing to solving negative effects from the industrial development. He added this Forum will help Binh Duong perceive and seek out appropriate solutions to re-allocate the workforce, contributing to the development of Binh Duong's economy which is expected to become more dynamic, affordable and ready to integrate for the sake of modernization and industrialization to realize the goal that Binh Duong will become a smart city for the better lives of its people.
