Speaking at the ceremony, Mr.Liem highly appreciated an praised BIFA and others units for their efforts to contribute to the success of the Expo while emphasizing that Binh Duong has always created favorable conditions for businesses in the sector to expand their consumption market. He expected that the Expo will bring new look and concept about wood industry of Binh Duong and Viet Nam to international partners.

Duong is considered the province of wood industry in Viet Nam, connecting with
important wood material areas in south-eastern and central provinces. It has
now over 1,300 woodwork enterprises including over 900 domestic ones. Wood
processing is one of the key export industries of the province with high
quality products. Over recent year, the wood industry has accounted high volume
of industrial production and gained good development. In 2017, the export
turnover of wood industry in Binh Duong was over USD 4 billion, accounting for
14.7% and 54.8% of the total export turnover locally and domestically. In
August, 2018, Binh Duong gained USD 2.9 billion from the export turnover of
wood industry.
