Founded in 2007, after 10 years of establishment and development, Binh Duong Foreign Affairs Department has fulfilled its role of advising provincial Party Committee and People's Committee on effectively implementing foreign affairs programsand accompanying the process of provincial socio-economic development. The Department has become a dynamic bridge between Binh Duong and international friends.

Not only playing good role as a bridge in foreign economic relations, Foreign Affairs Department also actively promotes foreign cultural activities, strengthens and develops friendly relationship and international cooperation to introduce and promote the image of Binh Duong's homeland andpeople as well as local cultural characteristics, contributing to the overall success of the province's external activities. The vibrant and dynamic external activities of the province in recent years have brought in practical results, contributing to affirming the status and image of a dynamic and creative Binh Duong province andstrengthening foreign direct investment attraction.

Speaking at the ceremony, Tran Thanh Liem - Chairman of provincial People's Committee acknowledged and praised the results that Binh Duong Foreign Affairs Department has achieved in the past 10 years. In order to further promote such achievements, the Chairman suggested that the Foreign Affairs Department should actively advise provincial Party Committee and People's Committee on effective implementation of external activitiesand be an effective contact point with Foreign Ministry, overseas Vietnamese representative offices and foreign missions in Vietnam. Thereby, it will contribute to strengthening external economic activities, promoting foreign investment as well as expanding international cooperation with international community. Binh Duong Foreign Affairs Department was expected to ccontinue training and fostering professional capacity, skills and foreign languages for its contingent of cadres, civil servants and officials in order to meet the requirements of integration and development.
On this occasion, Binh Duong Foreign Affairs Department honourably receives the third-class Labor Medal awarded by the State President for its outstanding achievements in foreign affairs, contributing to national construction and defense; Ha Thanh - Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Department receives Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for her outstanding achievements in diplomatic work. Provincial People's Committee has awarded Certificates of Merit to 11 individuals with outstanding achievements in foreign affairs.
