Deputy Prime Minister Sonsay Siphandone of People's Democratic Republic of Laos said at the meeting that the purpose of the working visit is to promote the bilateral relationship in different areas, especially in investment attraction, tourism, goods production and agricultural development. Highly appreciating the development of Binh Duong in recent years, the Deputy Prime Minister expected that Binh Duong will keep on exchanging and sharing experiences on socio-economic development and foreign investment attraction.

Provincial People's Committee Tran Thanh Liem informed the delegation at the meeting that Binh Duong is one of the leading provinces and cities nationwide in attracting foreign investment sources. Up till now, the province has lured over 3,000 projects from 63 countries and territories with the total investment capital of over USD 27.9 billion. The province has readjusted plans to expand the infrastructure systems in the industrial zones, simplified the administrative procedures to facilitate the investors. Provincial authorities and functional departments are keen to having dialogues with enterprises to promptly solve their difficulties. Liem said, in addition to efforts on socio-economic development, the province has paid much attention to social welfare. Healthcare, education…so as to ensure better living conditions of people...
On the foundation of good relationship of the two countries, Liem hopes that Deputy Prime Minister will continue support the cooperation between Binh Duong and other localities of Lao.

After the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister of Lao People's Democratic Republic Sonexay Siphandone and leaders of Binh Duong province visited and worked with Vinamilk Join Stock Company located in My Phuoc Industrial Zone 2, Ben Cat Town, Binh Duong. There, the Deputy Prime Minister expected Vinamilk to start seeking for investment opportunities in Lao, to bring more choices of milk products to Laos's people, contributing to tightening the relation of friendship, cooperation and investment for socio-economic development between the two countries.
