Attending
the ceremony were Mr. Dang Minh Hung - Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s
Committee, Professor Jin Young Choi – Head of the delegation, professors,
doctors and members of the cosmetic maxillofacial plastic surgery delegation,
IL Woong Association of Cleft lip and cleft palate (Dental Hospital, Seoul
National University, Korea).
This
was the 22nd that the cosmetic maxillofacial plastic surgery
delegation, IL Woong Association of Cleft lip and cleft palate cooperate with
Provincial General Hospital to deploy this program in Binh Duong. The program
took place from Dec 2nd to Dec 10th, 2016 and had
examined, selected 33 patients for surgical treatment. Among these, there were
16 cases of cleft palate surgery, 7 cases of cleft lip surgery, 7 cases of
aesthetic surgery and 3 other cases. All patients after surgery got good
results. IL Woong Association of Cleft lip and cleft palate also presented Provincial General Hospital with a Lefort system, screws,
suction instruments and equipment used in dental surgery, worth nearly $13,000.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dang Minh Hung - Deputy Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, on behalf of provincial leaders, thanked and appreciated the valuable contributions of the surgical delegation throughout the past years. He said that these contributions brought faith in life and energized and brought smiles, joy and happiness to poor patients of maxillofacial defects in Binh Duong Province. He wished that the province would continue to receive supports of the Korean maxillofacial plastic surgery delegation in the future.
