Development in association with environmental protection
VSIP’s operational motto is to selectively lure investment projects with strict regulations on environmental protection, aiming to keep it be always green-clean and nice in accordance with initial criteria set out by the two governments Vietnam and Singapore. For that reason, all companies operating in VSIP now have their own waste water treatment systems. VSIP also owns a modern waste water treatment system that is regularly maintained. So far, VSIP has been one of Vietnam’s greenest-cleanest and nicest Ip models thanks to strict regulations on environmental protection.
Since being established, VSIP has always given top priority to environmental protection. VSIP has a perfect traffic system with design on the criteria of minimizing traffic congestion-one of main reasons leading to environmental pollution
VSIP has also always attached special importance to planting green trees. This has not only ensured economic development in association with environmental protection, but also brought the beauty to VSIP. VSIP joining hands in environmental protection
After 20 years of development, VSIP has obtained accomplishments in environmental protection, deserving to be a green IP model of Binh Duong in particular and Vietnam in general.

Nguyen Phu Thinh, General Director of VSIP JVC that VSIP is seen as a typical IP in terms of environment and infrastructure in Vietnam. VSIP has always continuously operated its concentrated waste water treatment station; improved incidents and upgraded existing works while building another waste water treatment plants, ensuring the quality of waste water at environmental standards after being discharged. Possibly speaking, during the past 20 years, the JVC made efforts in building up an IP at requirements of optimal services and environment. This is now a prestigious and quality destination for investors.
Kurt Droeshout, General Director of P&G Vietnam Company in VSIP 1 in Thuan An town said that along with international standard infrastructure facilities, VSIPs are always clean with all surveillance targets on air and noise at environmental standards, contributing to bringing efficiency in production and business to the company.
With achievements done, VSIP JVC has asserted it as Vietnam’s top industrial and urban park developer. In the coming time, VSIP will continue upholding results done in environmental protection while closely coordinating with relevant units to well realize environmental protection. The IP will also further perfect policies on environmental protection and build works on environmental protection in line with the progress of investment projects.
Making contributions to the community
With the motto of “Joining hands to develop the community”, province-based VSIPs together with more than 430 businesses over the past 20 years made contributions to the community via such significant activities as organizing the annual VSIP charity day, realizing the Sembcorp-VSIP clean water project, awarding scholarships to pupils, setting up community clinics, building houses of compassion for underprivileged households…

Particularly, VSIP Binh Duong and its partners supported equipment, clean water for pupils at Tan Phuoc Khanh A primary school, Tan Binh preschool and Tan Binh primary school; set up a community clinic in Tan Uyen town’s Vinh Tan commune; built and upgraded more than 20 houses in Tan Uyen and Thuan An towns; visited and presented gifts to provincial Center for Orphans and Elderly People; awarded scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils; supported money for provincial General Hospital’s Fund for Poor Patients…VSIP Bac Ninh also coordinated with the local traffic police to organize a propaganda program on traffic safety and presented 200 helmets to pupils at Dai Dong primary school in Dai Dong commune. Whilst, VSIP Hai Phong motivated a series of activities for the sake of the community, comprising of a charity jogging of 3km with 800 participants, while encouraging locals to give blood for Hai Phong province’s Center for Hematology and Blood Transfusion with the annual target of 35,000 units of blood.
VSIP Quang Ngai supported new libraries, equipment, books and notebooks for 4 schools in Son Tinh district
Since its inception of 2013, VSIP Quang Ngai together with Sembcorp Group contributed US$50,000 to Quang Ngai provincial Fatherland Front Committee’s Natural Disaster Aid Fund and US$50,000 to people hit by natural disasters in Nghia Hanh district; supported new libraries, equipment, books and notebooks for 4 primary schools, namely Tinh Ha, Tinh An Tay, Tinh An Dong and Truong Quang Trong, in Son Tinh district; provided clean water filtering systems and tanks under the Sembcorp-VSIP clean water project for 10 schools…
Being the sixth project of VSIP in Vietnam, VSIP Hai Duong has to date raised VND80million for 81 needy patients being treated at Cam Giang district’s General Hospital, Hai Duong province’s General Hospital and Tuberculosis Hospital. It has also assisted Hai Duong province’s General Hospital to improve its green space.
On the 2016 charity day, VSIP Nghe An handed over new toilets to Hung Tay preschool and installed water filtering systems for preschools, namely Hung Yen Bac, Hung Dao, Hung My and Hung Trung.
Mr.Thinh said: “Being a symbol of cooperation and friendship between Vietnam and Singapore, VSIP considers improvement of locals’ lives and contribution to Vietnam’s comprehensive development as part of its mission. Besides, Singaporean partners have also shared experience in setting up sustainable business models, not only bringing the community economic values, but also long-term benefits. We will further make contributions to the sustainable development of the community in the new development period”.
As of June 2016, VSIP JVC completed construction of VSIP 1 and VSIP 2’s infrastructure and let out their land for industrial production to enterprises with a total projected area of 472.9 hectares and 330 hectares, respectively. The daily capacity of VSIP’s waste water treatment plant was raised to 24,000 cubic meters, ensuring waste water treatment for it and Gucoland services area. VSIP 2 also fulfilled construction of its concentrated waste water treatment plant for the first phase with the daily capacity of 6,000 cubic meters. In addition, construction of the expanded VSIP 2A’s infrastructure reached 84.9% with a total investment capital of US$139million. The IP also put its waste water treatment system for the first phase having the daily capacity of 6,000 cubic meters into operation.
