According to the report released by the provincial Department of Finance, until May 29, 2014, affected businesses finished submitting their loss asset enumeration. The provincial departments, agencies as well as the People’s Committee of districts, towns and city already built inspection teams to determine enterprises loss. Simultaneously, the provincial People’s Committee also formed a business-support team, led by Mr. Tran Van Nam, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong province People’s Committee.

     

 

    

     

Mr. Pham Van Hao, Director of the Department of Finance stated that “the enterprises support implementation was expeditiously carried out but still face difficulties due to the time limit, whereas the inspection team members were few. Additionally there was no basis to determine the loss of cash and personal property of some businesses”.

 

In order to effectively implement the assistance for affected businesses, Mr. Hao demanded Binh Duong province People’s Committee to give more time to determine the right cause of damage so that insurers could compensate; members of inspection teams could follow the inspection and compensation procedures.

    

         

      

     
After listening to the opinions from the departments and agencies as well as from the People’s Committee of districts, towns and city, Mr. Le Thanh Cung expressed his appreciation for their recent efforts. He directed the departments and agencies to strictly obey the announcement no. 207/TB-VPCP dated May 20, 214 of the Government Office on supporting and assisting businesses to overcome difficulties. Specifically promptly conduct administrative formalities for businesses, carefully witness and inspect the enumeration of businesses, as well as soon return business assets ... Mr. Cung also required the provincial Department of Custom, the Department of Taxation and State Bank to implement tax reduction and tax exemption, lower loan interest ... for businesses to resume their production.
