At the meeting, on behalf of Binh Duong leaders, Mr. Tran Van Nam, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong People’s Committee briefly introduced the province’s socioeconomic status in the first nine months of 2013. The province’s GDP rose 10.8 percent compared to the same period in 2012, industrial production value reached 108,144 billion dongs (up 12.8 % compared to the same period in 2012); domestic investment attraction was 12,701 billion dongs, foreign investment attraction was US$ 1.1 billion. Curently, 27 industrial parks are operating with the toal area of over 8,900 hectares and 8 industrial clusters with the total area of 600 hectares.
Mr. Nam hoped that in the future, the relationships between Vietnam and Japan in general, Binh Duong and Japan in specific would deepen, not only in terms of investment but also in government officials training and cultivation.
At the meeting, Dr. Yoshiteru Sugimoto stated that he was really impressed by Binh Duong’s rapid development, and gigantic infrastructure progress in recent years. Professor believed that Binh Duong will develop rapidly and sustainably in the future. He also confirmed that the Governemnt Officials Training School - National Personnel Authority Japan will continue to assist Vietnamese government officials in State management training.
After the meeting, the Japanese delegations visited My Phuoc Industrial Parks 1, 2 and 3 in Ben Cat District and the Binh Duong New Township of Industry - Service - Residence. Previously, in the morning, the delegations paid a working-trip to the province’s Politics School on officials training and cultivation.
