Thuan An town has established following the Resolution 04/NQ-CP issued by Government on Jan 13th 2011, through integrating the whole 8,426 ha and 382,034 households of Thuan An District. The town comprises 10 administrative units including 7 wards (Lai Thieu, An Thanh, Vinh Phu, Binh Hoa, Thuan Giao, Binh Chuan and An Phu) and 3 communes (Binh Nham, Hung Dinh, An Son).

 

 

 

 

Hoang Phap Nationwide Seminar 2011 was held in Binh Duong province by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Central Committee's Executive Board. The seminar focused on discussing the topics such as “Hoang Phap with precept of Dharma – People – Socialism”, “Hoang Phap to ethnic people”, “Hoang Phap to Youth”, “Hoang Phap to the ecological environment and climatic change”, “Hoang Phap with social charity issues”…

 

Addressing at the ceremony, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Mai The Trung affirmed that Buddhism has always been with people over 2,000 years of founding and defending the country. Buddhism with tolerance and altruism has contributed to enrich the Vietnam cultural diversity and people morality, has led human to a pure, healthy spiritual life of “truth, goodness, fineness”. He also hoped that this seminar would help strengthening the people’s solidarity spirit, and people would base on Dharma’s guideline to solve the troubles arising in modern society and contribute to create a peaceful, happy social with sustainable development.

 

 

 

 

 

The Action Month for food quality, safety and hygiene 2011 is themed with “Production, trade and utilization of food abide by the law on food safety”, with following targets: All food factories with industrial scale production and trading are popularized with the Law on Food Safety; decrease 30% cases of collective food poisoning in comparison with the same period of 2010; complete the setting up of interdisciplinary steering committee of food safety and hygiene at all communes in April 2011.

 

Addressing the Launch Ceremony, Vice - Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhansuggested Ministry of Health to actively co-operate with relevant ministries, agencies, organizations in instructing the localities to enhance the popularization of the Food Safety Law to food plants, officers and public; quickly complete to set up and submit instruction documents of Food Safety Law to Government in 2011.

He also directed ministries, agencies, political - social organizations, people’s committees at all levels and press agencies to co-operate with Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Industry and Trade, etc. to apply Food Safety Law effectively, ensure the food safety and hygiene in general and especially in Month of Action. 

 

 

 

On May 22th, more than 1 million voters of Binh Duong province have voted Deputies to the XIII National Assembly and Deputies to the People’s Council at all levels for the 2011 - 2016 term.

 

 

Up to 21h, there were 1,064,933 voters coming to vote, gained 98.25% in the whole province. In the total of 878 polling stations, there were 367 sites having 100% voting and 28 communes gaining 100% voting.

 

At 22h, 100% polling stations have finished official voting with the total of 1,070,104 / 1,083,960 voters, gained 98.72%. In which, Phu Giao and Dau Tieng districts have obtained the largest proportion of voting with 99.98%, following by Thu Dau Mot town with 99.37%, Ben Cat district with 98.52%, Tan Uyen district with 99.24%, Thuan An and Di An towns have gained 98.31% and 97.36% respectively.

 

The election has been successfully closed with a good organization, the social security was ensured and there were no incidents occurring during the voting.

 

 

 

 

Waste water monitoring system was constructed by Tan Tien, Gia Anh and Phan Le Companies, invested by Binh Duong Natural Resources and Environment Department with the total cost of more than 28 billion VND. The project comprises 02 bidding packages: camera installation and supply packages with the modern technologies from Germany, United States and Japan.

 

 

Currently, 06 industrial parks including VSIP, Dong An, Viet Huong 1, Song Than 1, Song Than 2 and My Phuoc 1 were equipped the waste water monitoring system and 15 places (including Tan Hiep Phat Trading and Service Co,. Ltd, VSIP 2, My Phuoc 3 …) were installed the automatic water sample analyzer. Management station is installed in Binh Duong Science and Technology Department.

 

This is the first project in Vietnam equipped high technologies such as telecommunication, data transfer, automatic technology and specific softwares. Thanks to the equipment, waste water of manufacturer after treatment can be controlled by distance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The department of Binh Duong Fire Prevention and Fighting is one of seven other departments (Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Can Tho, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Vinh Phuc) in a pilot project of Public Security Ministry by the Decision 2434/QDD-TTg, dated on Dec 30, 2010 by Prime Minister.

 

 

 

 

 

The EIU’s project was started on August 13, 2009 on an area of more than 45 hectares and 10 hectares for dormitory with a total capital of more than US$100 millions. In the first academic year (2011 -2015), EIU had received 720 students (including the first and second registration) in 3 faculties: Business Management, Technique- Technology and Health Science (Nursering). The university has about 120 lecturers, among of them 25 foreigners.

 

 

 

In his speech, Vice - Prime MinisterNguyen Thien Nhan appreciated EIU’s educational environment, especially its international standard training programs thanks to the coorperation with leading universities from United States, United Kingdom. More ever, EIU continues to strength the manager and lecturer team; gradually accelerate subjects in English; promote international students and train human resource in order to meet the demand of enterprises.

 

 

 

Oct -13^rd, at Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Park 1, Vice-President Nguyen Thi Doan and leaders of Vietnam Labour Union, Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs and Ministry of Training and Education worked with leaders of Binh Duong province about working and living conditions of labour at enterprises in the province.

 

 

 

At the meeting, Vice - President Nguyen Thi Doan highly appreciated provincial achievements in looking after labour’s living conditions. She suggested that Binh Duong leaders need to promote inspection of signing labour agreement, building payroll to keep their mind on their work, avoiding the strikes, developing professional labour force, solving housing and have regular contact help them to promptly solving their problems.

 

Vice-President Nguyen Thi Doan and the delegation visited and learned about operations, policies on salary, housing for workers, operations of labour union of Showa Gloves Vietnam Co., Ltd. and URC Vietnam CO., Ltd. at Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park 1 (Thuan An district).

 

 

 

 

At the meeting, the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Ukraine, Petro Symoneko impressed with the achievements of Binh Duong province in recent years. He hoped that through this visit, the delegation will obtain experiences in the management and organizational operation of the Party, the role and activities of trade unions at enterprises in Binh Duong Province.

 

Speaking at the meeting, former President Nguyen Minh Triet was delighted to welcome the delegation in Binh Duong province and expected that there will be cooperation in peace – cooperation - friendship between Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular with Ukraine in the future.

 

 

 

 

 

The compost manufacturing plant is an integral part of the chain project in solid waste complex of South Binh Duong, funded by Finnish government with the total capital of 6.7 million Euros. The Ferroplan Co. (Finland) is the contractor and Thanh An 665 Co. is the subcontractor, both are responsible for constructing the compost plant with the capacity of 420 tons per day.

 

 

 

 

Session will focus on evaluating performance of economic development - society in 2011, considered and decided targets and measures to successfully implement socioeconomic development in 2012; assessed state of the income and expenditure of national budget, investment, construction in 2011; total State budget settlement in 2010, consider the result of operation of the People's Court, people’s Procuracy, the execution...Simultaneously, the provincial People's Council will consider and decide some regulations, policies, fees under the jurisdiction of provincial People's Council.

 

There will be 70 terms submitted at this session, in which 37 terms presented directly, including the reports, evaluation reports and draft resolutions. Besides, some departments will question about the provincial People's Council and voters' concerns; responding proposals before the voters at the 3rd session and result of solving proposals of voters before and after the 2nd session.

 

 

 

Since the re-establishment of Binh Duong province in 1997, Binh Duong obtained considerable achievements in all the fields such as society, culture, economy, national defense and security over the past 15 years. In the economy, the GDP in average gained 14.5% and GDP in 2011 rose by 6.5 times against in 1997. The economic structure in 1997 was: industry 50.4% - service 26.8% - agriculture 22.8%, positively changed in 2011: the proportion of industry, service and agriculture reached 62.2% - 33.7% - 4.1% respectively.

 

Industrial production gained 28% in average, rose up 31 times in comparison in 1997, equivalent 12% national industrial value; agricultural production grew 5.7% in average, up 2 times compared to 1997. The total revenue of retail and service attained averagely 24% per year, up 19 times against 1997. Export turnover gained up 28%, equivalent 12% national export turnover. Budget revenue gained up 27 times, from 817 billion VND in 1997 to 22.500 billion VND in 2011.

 

In 1997, Binh Duong had only 6 industrial parks on an area of 600 ha, comprises now 28 industrial parks and 8 industrial clusters on 10,000 ha, the rate of backfill of 60%.

The province is the home of more than 13,000 domestic projects with the registered capital of 91,000 billion VND (10 times against 1997) and more than 2,000 foreign projects of $US 14.6 billion (12 times up compared to 1997).

 

 

 

Addressing in the meeting, National President Truong Tan Sang appreciated considerable achievements Binh Duong province attained over the 15 past years, contributing the national social economic development of our country. In the coming time, Binh Duong people and authorities continue to benefit by their potentialities and results; express their creativity, dynamism to overcome difficulties in order to successful implement the Resolution of the provincial Party Committee as well as the Resolution of the IXth Congress of Vietnam Party Communist, he added.

 

The provincial Committee of emulation and commendation rewarded 129 excellent enterprises and 106 typical entrepreneurs in 2011; commended 30 enterprises and 15 entrepreneurs for their contribution to underprivileged people Foundation during 15 years (1997 - 2011); 15 companies having excellent results in deployment and implementation of democratic regulations at grassroots levels.
